Staying at Darwin

We can’t wait for you to join us! This may feel like an adventure, so buckle up.

We want to play games and celebrate all day. On Saturday, July 18th, please arrive at Darwin as early as 10AM and no later than 12PM. We will provide lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and a packed lunch on Sunday. Plenty of snacks throughout.

Most of the information you’ll need can be found at darwinranch.com

We are providing ~accommodations~ for everyone, (except Jackson people, BYO gear) and we will let you know individually where you are staying (cabins/wall tents) and how you need to prepare. IF you are interested in booking your own stay in Pinedale (the closest town with hotels, approximately ~1.5hours from the ranch), we can help with that. Otherwise, we promise this backcountry bash will be amazing, and everyone will have access to what they need to have a fun, rippin’ weekend.

Driving

The Ranch is at the end of a long gravel road off the Union Pass Road, which crosses the mountains between Dubois, WY and Pinedale, WY. Our closest airport is Jackson Hole, but as we said, car rental rates will be less expensive when flying into Salt Lake. The drive from the Salt Lake airport is about 285 miles and takes 5 hours; from Jackson, it is about 100 miles and 3 hours.

Rental Cars: In dry weather, Kinky Creek Rd is navigable by passengar car, however we recommend a 4WD vehicle for additional clearance. Driving directions will be provided, but there is no service along the road. If you leave your maps app going, it will continue to navigate even without service.

Flying

OPTION 1: Salt Lake City Airport, (SLC)

Flying into Salt Lake City is easy. It is a ~5 hour drive to Darwin from SLC, but the car rentals are cheaper, and the flights are more convenient and less expensive.

If you decide to fly into Salt Lake, you will have to rent your own car. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about these logistics, I promise, we can help!

OPTION 2: Jackson Hole Airport (JAC)

Flying into the Jackson Airport is an experience in and of itself. Fun fact: The Jackson Airport is the only airport in the entire US that is located in a National Park!

If you have never been to Jackson and want to go, this is your chance. The ranch is about a ~3 hour drive from Jackson.

Please let us know your travel plans ASAP to help us coordinate folks getting out to the ranch.
